Every single dollar The H Foundation donates goes directly into the hands of the doctors, scientists, and students dedicated to finding a cure for cancer.

After meeting with the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University team in early 2002, The H Foundation quickly knew that that was the right place to receive our fundraising proceeds. The Lurie Cancer Center is a perfect match for The H Foundation because not only is the Center highly-rated, but it consists of a team of professionals that is highly dedicated to our cause—curing cancer. The H Foundation continues to be impressed that the Cancer Center works with an integrated “team” approach that combines research, education, and patient care. The Lurie Cancer Center and The H Foundation truly believe that Together, We Can Make a Difference!

The Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University is committed to being a national leader in the battle to overcome cancer. It is one of two NCI (National Cancer Institutes) designated comprehensive cancer centers in Illinois and one of only 71 in the country.

Planting the Seeds
All proceeds raised by The H Foundation go directly to Basic Science Cancer Research. This allows scientists to pursue novel ideas to detect cancer earlier and with greater precision. These ideas are then built into a portfolio of research knowledge to compete for grants from other foundations. This "seed money" for basic research leads to millions of dollars from additional private funding allowing the center to continue the fight to cure cancer.

Since 2001, The H Foundation has raised over $12 million to support basic science cancer research. These dollars have been leveraged into over $250 million from additional government or private funding to find a cure for cancer.

An "Exceptional" Rating
