Funding Breakthroughs

Leading the way to a world without cancer

Our Impact

The H Foundation has raised more than $12 million since 2001 to support breakthrough basic science cancer research.

Support from The H Foundation has been leveraged into more than $250 million in private and government grants for cancer research projects by Lurie Cancer Center scientists.

This year an estimated:
1,806,590 people will be diagnosed with cancer.
606,520 people will pass away from cancer in the U.S.
1,662 cancer related deaths will occur each day.

Cancer is the 2nd most common cause of death in the United States, exceeded only by heart disease. It is estimated that in the United States, approximately 40 out of 100 men and 38 out of 100 women will develop cancer in their lifetime. Let’s find a cure together so we can lower that number.

All of our proceeds go to Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University to support basic cancer research, helping accelerate studies to detect cancer earlier and with greater precision.

Our donations are funding cancer breakthroughs and pioneering research.
