The Goombay Smash, the signature cocktail of the Bahamas, is known for much more than its fruity flavor and island ties. In 2001, the beverage became the inspiration for The H Foundation’s Goombay Bash and a representation for many to find a cure for cancer.

To The H Foundation community, Goombay Spirit is a movement of hope and commitment. Now we’re inviting our local restaurants to join us in the fight against cancer with the Sip. Smash. Cure. Community Challenge!

August 3 through September 7, 2023, local participating restaurants competed for “bragging rights” with their own version of The H Foundation’s signature cocktail, the Goombay Smash.
