Congratulations to Rick Seidman, Our 2026 Rick Wiedemer Guiding Light Awardee!
Rick Seidman
President & CEO, Quoizel Lighting
Rick Seidman, President and CEO of Quoizel Lighting, will be honored as the 2026 recipient of the Rick Wiedemer Guiding Light Award at the 24th Annual Goombay Bash on Saturday, July 25, 2026. A respected leader in the lighting industry, Rick has dedicated more than 35 years to Quoizel, helping guide the company into one of the industry’s premier decorative lighting brands known for innovation, quality, and strong partnerships.
Rick and the phenomenal team at Quoizel have been dedicated supporters of Goombay Bash and The H Foundation since the event’s inception in 2001, helping raise critical funds for basic science cancer research at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University.
Like so many, cancer became deeply personal to Rick at a young age when his father passed away from pancreatic cancer. Years later, cancer would impact his family again when his wife’s sister lost her battle with cancer just 45 days after their wedding. Because cancer ran in both of their families, Rick’s wife underwent BRCA genetic testing and, after receiving a positive result, took proactive steps to eradicate the disease before it could progress. Today, Rick’s two daughters have also tested positive for the BRCA gene and continue to closely monitor their health with the support of advancements in research and technology.
Through every challenge, Rick and his family have approached cancer with determination, hope, and action. His message is simple yet powerful: do not live in fear.
“When a problem is in front of you, you have three choices: run, ignore, or fight,” Rick says. “We chose to fight it with all we have. We fight it to support research and find a cure. Supporting The H Foundation is a great way to make a difference.”
Rick’s passion for advancing cancer research, combined with his longstanding commitment to The H Foundation and the lighting industry, makes him a truly deserving recipient of the 2026 Rick Wiedemer Guiding Light Award.
